Hermo #6

Apart from Sephora, Hermo stocks Shiseido WASO products, much to my delight. I tend to check prices across different sites and certain items are cheaper on Hermo than on Sephora - double score!

I have also seen Shiseido WASO being stocked in Parkson if you are wanting to go in store to pick it up!

The Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch is a repurchase for me and I truly love this product. I find many acne patches to be either ineffective, or too sticky and difficult to remove. This is effective and the stickiness is sufficient to keep the product on the face without causing injury or harm to the skin when trying to remove the patch!

This Himalaya Protecting Neem & Turmeric Body Wash was recommended by Bob's brother and picking it up on Hermo is cheaper as I bought the 200ml bottle in store for less than RM30, and picking it up on Hermo is about the same price but for 400ml! I have already finished the smaller bottle up so this is also a repurchase because I find the product effective at keeping my bacne at bay, but I would like to test it out further!

A purchase with purchase was this NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Apple Crisp. I picked it up for less than half price and it is a glossy bright brick-orange red. It is definitely brighter due to the orange pigments in it and leans more warm than my traditional blue-reds. I will do a standalone post so that you can see how it applies and looks on my face. As a gloss, it obviously does not stay on through meals.

Then we have the Shiseido WASO range, which is targeted at Millinneals, and as much as I hate that term, I find myself drawn to the packaging, the ethos, and everything behind the brand.

As a launching gift, Hermo also offered the Shiseido WASO Soft+Cushy Polisher and the Shiseido WASO Clear Mega-Hydrating Cream. Keep an eye on the Hermo site, as I noticed they were offering different gifts with purchase ( Fresh Jelly Lotion & Colour Smart Day Moisturiser for Oily Skin) during the MyCyberSale2017 period.

Starting in the order of skincare which I would use, the Shiseido WASO Quick Gentle Cleanser is described as "A heavenly refreshing cleanser with honey and royal jelly from bees. The honey-like gel foams without water to remove makeup and impurities, without stripping essential moisture. Massage over face to blend with makeup and impurities. Remove with water. An eye makeup remover can be used for heavier eye makeup. Product can harden at low temperatures. For better flow, store product in a warm environment".

The weather in Malaysia is nice and warm so I have had no issues with any product hardening. The packaging is simplistic and while I would have prefered something slimmer or sleeker, it is not bad. The container is easy to use and not too hard to squeeze for product.

The actual cleanser is not too perfumed, and is not stripping on the skin at all. I do not use it for makeup removal but it is gentle enough to use on the eyes as well. I find that I can use it both wet or dry and it does not foam up too much when you add water to the mix. I love this and it might be my favourite thing of the 3 full-sized items I bought!

Next in the step would be the Shiseido WASO Fresh Jelly Lotion. "An epic hydrating lotion with white jelly mushrooms. The jelly-like texture transforms into lotion on your skin, plumping from within*. Apply morning and night after cleanser. *Epidermis

The Shiseido WASO Fresh Jelly Lotion is a bit of a funny one. I neither love nor hate it. I do think that it is hydrating without being overly-nourishing. It is a light layer of hydration and the tackiness helps my serum to sink in better to the skin. Some people may hate that it is sticky. I do not really mind it. It is also quite fragranced. While it is a fresh scent, many have pointed out that the perfume is too much for them. I personally would have preferred it to be lighter or no scent as I prefer my skincare to be stripped back fragrance-wise.

Finally we have the Shiseido WASO Colour-Smart Day Moisturiser SPF 30 PA+++. This is "a skin brightening day moisturiser with whole carrot cells. Adeptly changes colour to enhance your skin tone, for long lasting hydration and a healthy-looking glow. Apply morning after cleanser. Take an appropriate amount and smooth evenly over entire face. Note : Avoid contact with eyes."

The packaging of this is cute but not the most practical, unless you have somewhere to hang it. I can't keep the product standing up so it ends up taking more space on my dressing table lying around or stuffed in a makeup bag.

The actual product comes out whitish-grey but when spread and blended, adapts to my skintone and is brightening. I tried it on my boyfriend who is very fair, just to see if the skintone adapts, and it did blend really well, but on him it was darker but still manageable. So I do believe that it is not the most forgiving on all skin tones but if you are not on either end of the spectrum, more light-medium, this would work.

I do enjoy the SPF protection and the sheer coverage it provides. I find myself reaching for this a lot more than initially expected!

The Shiseido WASO Soft+Cushy Polisher is really as nice as everyone has raved about. I really like how it is gentle on the skin and the micro-polishing bits are very fine and non-scratchy. I intend to purchase the full-size of this product!

The Shiseido WASO Clear Mega Hydrating Cream is lovely on the skin but suited to more normal-dry skin. I do not think it will be sufficient if you are very dry, but on my combination skin, it was just a little bit too much. I could use it and it does not exacerbate any skin conditions of mine except extra shine where I am oilier, but I would not purchase a full size of this just because I think there are other moisturisers that are more suited to my skin type.
